I.    POM Delrin Data Sheet Description

 

Good mechanical properties and rigidity, and close to the metal material. It’s an ideal replacement material of copper, cast zinc, steel, aluminum and other metal materials. Excellent fatigue resistance and creep resistance. Good abrasion resistance, self-lubricated and friction. POM together with UHMWPE, PA, F4 are known as the four wear-resistant plastic materials. High thermal stability, good chemical stability and excellent electrical insulation.

 

II. Delrin Data Sheet Characteristics

 

Advantages:

1. High surface hardness and surface density. Small abrasion consumption, impact fatigue and shock resistance,small coefficient friction, and self-lubricating, therefore, it is the first material

 choice for manufacturing gear.

2.Although the contraction rate is high, the dimension is stable.

3.Good dielectric properties, solvent resistance, nonstress cracking.

4.Torsional resistance, it can be restored to their original when removed the external force.

 

Disadvantages:

1. Poor acid resistance, especially mineral acid

2.Poor dimensional stability

3.Weatherability is not excellent especially the UV
